When do you offer appointments?
I have available appointments at the moment on Tuesday and Wednesday early evenings and one morning a week. My latest appointment time in Bromsgrove is 7pm and in Cheltenham is 8pm.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually I see people for an average of 6 sessions. In some cases, after our initial consultation, I may determine that the treatment schedule is open ended.
How often might I be seen?
To get the most benefit from your treatment, I see most people weekly, but other contact arrangements can be made. I am happy to provide one-off consultations, short term or ad hoc sessions if this is appropriate. An initial assessment meeting would allow us to explore the type of interventions which might be of most benefit.
Where are my treatment sessions based?
You can choose to have your sessions at any of my practices. The address and location of these are shown below in the footer.
Can you treat me at home or elsewhere?
In exceptional circumstances I would consider home visits or sessions in other parts of Gloucestershire. Please contact me to discuss your situation.
Are there any types of psychological condition that you don’t treat?
I do not routinely offer assessment and treatment to people who have received a diagnosis of Personality Disorder.
I also do not offer ongoing treatment to people who are at high risk of deliberate self-harm, who have a Body Mass Index below 18 and where I assess the risks to the client as unsupportable in private practice.
A family member needs psychological support. Can I get involved in their treatment?
I have experience of working with families who are undergoing major life events such as bereavement or adoption or where a loved one is undergoing mental health difficulties and advice and support is required.
Are our sessions confidential?
You will be given a contract at the start of the therapy which details the limits of confidentiality and secure storage of your information.
